A shared passion for fashion and motorsports, a serendipitous Coachella performance, and an organic collaboration.
There is nothing more RSRV than a perfectly organic and beautifully serendipitous collaboration. Sometimes a partnership this special even gets an amazing backstory.
Like one starring Sabrina Carpenter.
When Sabrina took to the 2024 Coachella stage she inadvertently introduced a partnership to the world that didn’t even exist yet.
Sabrina rocked a baby blue and white cropped leather jacket that had been redesigned and produced by model/designer/game-changer Ana Tanaka. The jacket was a sleek reimagining of a vintage Alpinestars jacket.
Ana’s self-titled Tanaka Vintage line utilizes vintage inventory and deadstock fabrics in an imaginative take on repurposed fashion. What she had repurposed for Sabrina’s fit was an Alpinestars piece.
As the performance and jacket made their way around the internet, calls were made, conversations were started and eventually, a handshake was had that cemented the official Alpinestars RSRV X Tanaka Vintage collab. Ana has resurrected a number of 90s-era leather jackets from Alpinestars archives and created a nostalgic, yet future-focused collection that includes leather jacket and skirt sets, leather tube tops, and a spectacular yellow leather trench.
This partnership was a vibrant example of the intersection of motorsports and fashion and the way it can bring creators together. It is the perfect blend of ingredients that RSRV strives to create. Thank you Coachella and goodnight.
